Sometimes there aren’t enough hours in the day to enjoy a theme park. Walt Disney World feels you and has special nights for those of us who a) love their theme parks and b) are night owls.

Disney After Hours @ Animal Kingdom

The sun may have set hours ago, but the Animal Kingdom stays lit with a spectacular display of bioluminescence and entertainment that illuminates the night skies. Enjoy short wait times at the rides including Avatar Flight of Passage, Na’vi River Journey, It’s Tough to be a Bug!, and more. This special ticketed event allows a limited amount of guests to stay after the park closes on select nights. Admission includes free ice cream, popcorn, and beverages at concession stands set up around the park.

Disney After Hours @ Magic Kingdom

Play late in the park on select nights with a limited number of guests. You’ll have more time to enjoy rides as well as navigate through smaller crowds. Needless to say, late nights in Florida are truly delightful. More than 25 attractions will be open and special characters wander the park. It’ll be a fun time as you zip through the lines for attractions like Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Peter Pan’s Flight, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Space Mountain, Disney Princess Greeting at Princess Fairytale Hall, and so much more. These nights require special admission which include free ice cream, popcorn, and beverages at cart stations around the park.

Disney Villains After Hours @ Magic Kingdom

Entertainment on these nights is sure to spark cackles and dark joy. Villains unite at Cinderella’s Castle for a late night of mayhem and hilarious high jinx during a 20-plus minute stage show with Hades, Meg, The Queen, Maleficent, Jafar, and other hoodlums. Special surprises also await at the Pirates of the Caribbean and Space Mountain rides. Keep a sharp eye out for Maleficent the dragon as she slinks her way through the park breathing fire.

Guests are invited to dress as their favorite villain but must follow a few rules. There are creative ways of getting away with the perfect costume, which we detail here. While you’re at the park, don’t forget to grab your complimentary ice cream, popcorn, and beverage from the cart stations around the park.

Disney H2O Glow Nights

Late night events at Typhoon Lagoon happen later in the year, during summertime, when the nights become warmer. During these special late nights, Toy Story characters spend their nights partying with guests. Late night partying will include dancing by the Surf Pool to the sounds spun by the DJ with a glowing backdrop designed especially for the event. The water park will offer unique food, beverages, and souvenirs, which are all served for this limited time only. Adults 21 and older are welcome to party and partake in special drinks at The Wharf. And everyone enjoys short wait times to all the attractions and rides.
